Match Report

Rhyl continued their positive start to the pre-season preparations with a positive 4-0 win against Llangefni Town last night. Manager Niall McGuinness used the occasion to provide an opportunity for many who didn’t start on Saturday to stake their claim and with seven changes from Saturday, the young squad made the most of their opportunity.

First half goals from Andreas Alvarado, Zyaac Edwards and Jordan Miller put the Lilywhites in a commanding position at half time. Oliver Buckley completed the scoring with a second half goal to leave manager Niall McGuinness pleased with the way the squad is developing.

McGuinness praised the performance commenting that the team provided “another good footballing performance with a number of trialist's playing, 4 members of the youth team playing and a number of key players missing”. In particular McGuinness highlighted the contribution from Ryan Hulse, Luke Fitzpatrick, Adam Hold and Reece Airey who made the step up from the youth team squad.
