James Brewerton 5 (Defenders)

James is a product of Rhyl's youth system and a Wales under-18 international who had a trial at Wolves. James Brewerton started off at Rhyl within the Academy set up before spells at Conwy United and Llandudno. He made his debut for Rhyl in the 1999-2000 season and made 183 appearances in the Welsh Premier League including playing a key role in the 2003-2004 side which won the League, Welsh Cup and League Cup.

He departed for Bangor City in 2008-09 and he went on to win the League at Bangor City during his 7 seasons with the Citizens. His latter part of his spell at Bangor was impacted by injuries and he rejoined Rhyl during the 2014/15 season making 9 appearances.

Jamie initially retired from football in November 2015 and was subsequently appointed in February to the management team for the first team to assist Niall and Laurie McGuinness. For the 2016/17 season made a return to the field and made 9 starts before stepping down from the squad.  For the 17/18 season Brewerton is looking to use his experience to assist Rhyl.
