Rhyl FC Manager Niall McGuinness has completed his squad strengthening with his final 2 signings 2 weeks before the Huws Gray Alliance season starts with the opener against Guilsfield on the 12th August.  McGuinness has moved to confirm the capture of two players who have impressed on trial in pre-season matches for the Lilywhites.

McGuinness attacking options will be boosted with the capture of 21 year old local striker Jack Hoult who has put pen to paper for the Lilywhites. McGuinness described Hoult as “a quick centre forward with good technical ability” and stated that “I'm looking forward to working with him to help him develop as a player, he has bags of potential at the age of 21 and Jack has a great eye for goal which he's shown in pre-season scoring 3 goals for the 1st team and 2 for the reserves.” Hoult will be stepping up from the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Premier League where he ended the season as top scorer for Abergele FC as they finished third in the league.

The final player to sign for the Lilywhites is Central Midfielder,Stewart Carroll. Carroll joined Flint from Castrol Social of The West Cheshire League during the summer of 2009 after a previous spell with Vauxhall FC and has a reputation for scoring some spectacular long range goals.

McGuinness believes that the highly experienced Central Midfield player will be a fantastic addition to the side. He described Carroll as “a ball playing midfield with great awareness and positional play” Adding “Stewart comes with a wealth of Huws Gray Alliance experience having captained Flint Town for a number of years.”

With a fortnight to go to the season opener McGuinness stated that he was “looking forward to working with them both this season”. Rhyl’s final pre-season game is at home to St Asaph City on Saturday 5th August, kick off 3pm.
