Statement from Niall McGuinness

08 October 2017

Rhyl Football Club have accepted the resignation of 1st Team Manager, Niall McGuinness after Saturday’s JD Welsh Cup defeat to Llandudno Albion.

Following the resignation Niall McGuinness made the following statement.

“I would like to hand in my resignation to the club. It has been a rollercoaster ride over the last 18 months which I unfortunately have been unable to deliver my ambitions I set out for the club.

I would like to wish the very best to all at Rhyl FC and all who have supported me. In particular thanks to the Chairman Paul Higginson for giving me the opportunity at such a young age and a special mention to all who have stood by me through thick and thin.

The experience has made me a better coach and I feel I will come out better from it.

I have enjoyed my 7 years at the club and best of luck to everyone for the future.”

A further statement will be issued later on this evening regarding the next steps for Rhyl FC moving forward.
